Basics of Python Programming | Data Visualization using Tableau | Data Manipulation & Management | Statistics & Computational Modeling

  • This certificate will teach some of the most important techniques and tools necessary to introduce data science into company culture, get necessary political buy-in, find, manipulate, and analyze the data present inside your company’s database, make predictions of outcomes, and create visualizations that can help non-technical users understand and see the identified trends and patterns inside the data.
  • January 23-August 3 IN SESSION

  • June 19-December 27 APPLY
  • INDIVIDUAL CLASSES

    Statistics & Computational Modeling

  • This is a entry level statistics and modeling class. Students learn how to create predictive models using multivariate regression techniques and stochastic simulations. Students will also look at the different media through which you can do modeling, including AWS and Google.
    $5500
  • Sep 25, 2017 - Nov 8, 2017 APPLY
  • Data Visualization using Tableau

  • With an increase in demand of 1,581% from 2011-2015, Forbes showed this one skill alone is immensely valuable in helping key non-technical business users understand data and analytics. In this class, we will teach the fundamentals of data visualization using Tableau, an industry-wide benchmark for quality visualization tools. Students will learn the necessary skills to build visualizations and best practices needed to make them implementable. $3500
  • Nov 27, 2017 - Dec 20, 2017 APPLY
  • Basics of Python Programming

  • Students will learn the fundamentals of Python data structures and control flow, object oriented design, basic web development with Flask, as well as functional programming concepts. Students will also learn how to manipulate data using Pandas and Numpy as well as basic version control with Git. Additionally, testing using Unittest and pytest as well as project documentation with Sphinx will be covered. While this is a fundamental course with no prior knowledge of programming needed, a basic understanding of technology is expected. Python is also the prerequisite for all other data science courses. If the student has previous IT experience or knowledge of other object oriented languages, the student can test out of this course. $5500
  • Jan 22, 2018 - Mar 7, 2018 APPLY
  • Data Manipulation and Management

  • This class is taught by a 22-year veteran of ConAgra whose roles included Network Optimization, Supply Chain Reporting, data warehousing and advanced analytics. His class teaches a student how to store and transform data specifically to be used in modeling. It will also teach database design, SQL queries, different schemas, data cleaning techniques, and data appending. $3500
